Future plans
Looking ahead, I plan to conduct user interviews to gain insights into their current experience with the app. Additionally, I intend to implement several new features, including:
Per Season Ratings for Shows: allowing users to rate each season of a show individually
Follow Other Users: enabling users to follow each other and stay updated on their activities
Public Feed for Watching and Ratings: introduce a public feed where users can share what they're watching and their ratings with the community
Conclusion
Creating Showspace has given me valuable insights into mobile app development. Through coding this app, I gained a deeper understanding of how user experience designers collaborate with engineers and learned effective ways to support them in their process. Initially, I had numerous ideas for features and design elements I wanted to incorporate. However, my coding experience presented some limitations, which proved to be a challenging yet rewarding learning experience. Moving forward, I am excited to apply these lessons to further enhance Showspace and continue growing as a user experience designer and a developer.
